I looked at this and even on sale there's only really one content pack with the majority being skins for multiplayer. If you've played Arkham Asylum, then I suggest buying Arkham City, and then, if you want some more Batman while waiting for Arkham Knight, get Arkham Origins. A lot of the gadgets in AO are reused from AC with some having different names. The fighting is generally the same, but I can't say which is genuinely better since I've played AC on PS3 and AO with a keyboard and mouse. Personally, playing it on my laptop soured the game for me and just wasn't fun. I played the previous Arkham games on PS3 and had tons of fun and played Arkham Origins on my laptop, with all the bugs and glitches that came with it, as well as fighting with a mouse and keyboard.
If that's the case, I'd say Arkham Origins gives you more stuff to do in the story mode, while Arkham City gives you more stuff to do in challenge maps (and 4 different characters to beat them all with, those being Batman, Catwoman, Robin and Nightwing while Origins only has 2, those being Batman and Deathstroke).īest gameplay is, again, subjective. I assume by which has more gameplay you mean which game has more stuff for you to do. For Arkham City people tend to say that it has a great beginning and ending with a slightly lackluster middle, some say the story is a mess and others say the story overall is great.
Some say the story of Origins is better than that of City, some say it's predictable, and some say there's no real story to speak of.
